Erika Alfiero
México (1972), Mexican Visual Artist, who through painting expresses her conceptual and emotional search with a common thread that drives her to investigate and capture empathy, resilience, friendship, family and displacement.
With studies in Mechanical Engineering Administration at the University of Monterrey, he has taken seminars such as "Art History", "The importance of the object throughout the history of art", "Conceptual and post-conceptual art", "Learning contemporary art through through American art and museums”, “Christ, Don Quixote and Che”, “Rufino Tamayo and color”, He has also taken various workshops and art diplomas such as an advanced drawing diploma at the UANL Faculty of Art, Engraving workshops, resins, sands, textures, cold wax, encaustic, drawing, abstract art, figurative, painting on aluminum, Museo Marco 2020 and 2021 link program, expanding painting, art and creativity, with renowned masters. He is a member of the Monterrey Plastic Association, the Garza García Plastic Association, and the Mexican Plastic Artists Association.
He has exhibited individually on 3 occasions and collectively inside and outside the country. His work has been exhibited in places such as the Borges Cultural Center in Argentina, UDCA University, Bogotá, Colombia, Miami Spectrum, Miami FL, Progetto 7Lune Cultural Association, Venice, Italy, Hotel Corinthia Budapest, Hungary, Marco Monterrey Museum, City Museum Guadalupe, Museum of the Old Palace of García, Bernabé de las Casas Museum, NL Mine, San Pedro Cultural Center, Cultural Unit of Architecture, UANL, Raul Rangel Frías University Library, UANL, Torrego Art Gallery in Brazil, Claustro de Sor Juana University in Mexico City, and at Galeria Pallavicini 22 in the City of Ravenna, Italy. 1
He represented Mexico in 2018 at the IV International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Argentina, XI Suba International Art Biennial, Bogotá Colombia 2019 and Red Dot/Miami Spectrum 2019 Contemporary Art Show, Miami, USA. In 2020, the Monterrey Plastic Association awarded him the second place prize in its annual contest, with the "Resilience" Work.
In a playful and experimental way, she works with materials and different techniques, which in 2020 leads her to develop a technique that arises from that metaphorical image of the veil that clouds and blurs everything.
