Feeling I live empathy from love.
Marriages or couples that have been separated by the tragedy of the disease; or who end their lives dying together.
A new reality that we live daily in this 2020 pandemic, without definitions for when it ends. For this reason I present this work, which shows an elderly couple holding hands with such great love that the mere touch of their hands manages to transmit it, even without seeing their faces.
In these times when divorce is real and everyday. A marriage of many years, regardless of the obstacles that have gone through in life, for me expresses in a forceful way how beautiful it would be to be able to end up next to the person you chose to live your life, because you love them.
I paint them with the watercolor and steam technique, blurring the image with a primer, giving them that intimacy they need and providing them with a veil that covers them.
